This 2-hour introductory session is designed for young people who are new to OCR or want to build confidence in a fun and friendly environment. No experience needed. Just turn up, move, and discover what you’re capable of.
Led by Lou Ferriman, a 4x World Champion OCR athlete, this session introduces the core techniques, movement skills, and mindset behind obstacle course racing – all in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Whether you’re just starting out or want to see what OCR is all about before committing to more advanced training, this is your chance to try it out with guidance from the best!
What You’ll Do
Get Hands-On with Obstacles:
Learn how to approach walls, monkey bars, balance beams, cargo nets, and rope grips at your own pace. We’ll show you the techniques, then let you practise safely.
Build Confidence, Not Just Strength:
Through guided activities, you’ll improve your coordination, balance, and body awareness. It’s not about being the fastest or strongest – it’s about learning what works for you.
Explore Euro-Style Grips and Challenges:
Try your hand at some of the obstacles inspired by the European Championships – no pressure, just a chance to experience something new.
