FITIQ Home School OCR Club

FITIQ Home School OCR Club offers a quieter, smaller session for children who may find larger or busier groups difficult to access.

Sessions are led by Lou, a former Reception teacher who spent several years home schooling one of her own children. She has extensive personal experience of supporting a neurodivergent child and understands that every child communicates, participates and develops differently.

Lou’s approach is engaging, patient and responsive. There is less emphasis on formal training and more focus on movement, enjoyment, confidence and helping each child feel comfortable.

Sessions combine obstacle course activities, games, balance, coordination and strength inside The Tunnel, our purpose built centre in Cookham.

Children can take part at their own level and build confidence gradually. Lou provides clear instructions, practical support, appropriate choices and time to become comfortable without unnecessary pressure.

FITIQ welcomes children with learning differences, neurodivergent children and those who may need more time, space or support. Parents and carers can speak with Lou before attending so she can understand what may help their child take part.

Activities may include rigs, ropes, walls, monkey bars, rings, balance obstacles, movement challenges and team activities. The aim is to help children enjoy being active while developing physical skills, confidence, focus and positive relationships.

There are no trials or performance requirements. We ask only that children take part in a way that works for them and respect Lou, the equipment and other members.

FITIQ is accredited by British Obstacle Sports.
